If he has southward first or second gen 1.0 they use the standard size sdcard.
But know that I see he has south blueish 1.0a that rules out a standard sdcard. I dont think they accept made the wireless tech small enough yet to fit a micro sd too.

Re: Upload GCode to the SD Card without using Repetier

I tried ane of those adaptors, just it seems like the adapter/extender is drawing too much power.  The printer becomes unresponsive when I have it plugged in.  I might try a dissimilar ane one of these days.

I would advise a brusk one, similar the 1 I showed (>2cm), a long one like this ane (48cm) may need more power than Davinci provide.

Re: Upload GCode to the SD Bill of fare without using Repetier

one matter with wifi SD Card, be careful with the model y'all take, not everyone allows upload every bit they are ordinarily used just to download images from photographic camera.
Toshiba one, the 1 I use on my two.0, allows upload and download, and it has a nice SDK for additional functions.
Just FYI

Any update on if the adapter Luc recommended worked (peradventure also soon smile )?  I am wanting to order a Toshiba Air Card and use this adapter.

This blazon:  http://www.toshiba.com/us/wifi-memory-cards

Luc is this the blazon you referenced?

Quick question - is in that location anything on the stock microSD Card that is important to have on the SD with Repetier?  I wouldn't think so only I idea I read somewhere that someone swapped their stock 1 out while on Repetier and had some issues with the printers settings working correctly.

Thanks

As long as you lot can copy all the contents of the sdcard the was in the printer when repetier was flashed it volition exist fine. Most printer motherboards take an EEPROM where settings are stored by the firmware. The Da Vinci lath does not have an EEPROM and then it is emulated in a file on the sdcard created at flashing.

Re: Upload GCode to the SD Bill of fare without using Repetier

yes I use flashair 8Go

Repetier utilize SDCard as EEPROM by emulating in eeprom.bin, so if y'all want to keep your settings copy this file, this is the but one that need to be kept, if you did not inverse annihilation you can just practise a load fail safe setting and salvage to EEPROM or send M502/M500 they will regenerate clean eeprom.bin on new SD Card

Re: Upload GCode to the SD Carte without using Repetier

Thank you Carl and Luc.  Good to know that information.  I causeless the printer had it's ain real eeprom. smile

I am going to endeavour this combo:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UOY … ailpages00

and this adapter:

http://world wide web.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J21 … ge_o00_s00

The SD card is the updated version of the one Luc has but is a form 10 device.  As well the min retention is 16 GB since there is no 8 GB.  The adapter is fairly curt (9 inches) and the one comment for it said it worked well with a one.0A. smile

Anyone come across whatever obvious issues with either?

information technology is half long as evanalmighty i so I do not know
if it still draining too much power you tin can try this one :
http://www.amazon.com/SDHC-bill of fare-Micro-E … B00KZIBLWS but looks like hard pcb so not sure you will have space to plug information technology

Re: Upload GCode to the SD Card without using Repetier

Well, Amazon set me the wrong part 3 different times for the mirco SD to SD connector.  I found a unlike i and so I ordered that.  It is coming from China or somewhere over in that location.  I too ordered the one evanalmighy referenced in a higher place.

I have my wifi bill of fare figured out but information technology is frustrating not being able to connect information technology to the printer.

Evan if yous or anyone else with a 1.0A and a converter apply a wifi SD card, delight let me know how that is working.

Re: Upload GCode to the SD Card without using Repetier

Information technology took me a few hours to get the WiFi card working where you could upload to the carte. I have it hooked upwardly to the printer and it'south working now.  Fifty-fifty though I have it prepare to never timeout, the WiFi withal goes out after some time. I'd take to cycle the power to get information technology to come back on.  I'll go on this ane for now, only I'chiliad non completely sold on information technology.  Fourth dimension will tell.

Re: Upload GCode to the SD Card without using Repetier

I never got this issue - my printer is on 24/7 and can access SDCard any fourth dimension - you may need to flash to latest FW from toshiba - I did it to all my cards (W02 / W03)

Also Webdav admission is also tiresome when HTLM UI is immediate
I guess information technology is considering I did not use the toshiba tool to map the drive merely did connection manually - they must alter some registry settings

How did you secure yours in your printer since it is short?  Tape?  The micro SD cease from the picture does not look like information technology could have also much tension one time plugged in.

Re: Upload GCode to the SD Bill of fare without using Repetier

I put a slice of double sided record to the dorsum of the adapter and secured it to the large processing scrap on the board.  I was going to hot glue it in identify too, but as well lazy to look for my hot glue gun.

Re: Upload GCode to the SD Card without using Repetier

As a brief update, I was finally able to become the correct Micro SD male to SD female.  I ordered information technology from hither:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0085G … ge_o00_s00

I got it from this detail vendor on Amazon directly.  I tried ordering it through others that Amazon fulfilled the orders for and they sent me the wrong one iii times.  I would not recommend using a vendor that has Amazon fulfill the order.

This extension is not very long just long enough for me to plug it in the board and route information technology through the middle cable admission port.  I will mount it within the DaVinci with double sided tap.

Information technology seems to work well my with Toshiba FlashAir 16 GB wireless SD card (Due west-03).

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UOY … ge_o05_s00

I take not seen a time out since I turned my printer on many hours ago.  I mapped the network location on my computer so I can readily access information technology.  I tested a few prints that I sliced with Simplify 3D and did a directly salve to the SD card from Simplify 3D.  Information technology worked with no issues and allowed me to select the print direct on the printer to print.

Wireless SD is the way to become in my opinion.
